Guests have been enjoying life's simple pleasures at
the hideaway for over 25 years. This riverside accommodation is named after "Bandit", the first resident dog,
who passed over in 2001. Rosey, who lived at the hideaway for 14 years passed away in Oct. 2015. She is now with
Bandit. Arabell, Rosie's companion is still here to greet guests.
Bandit's Hideaway, a Texas hill country retreat, centrally located between Austin and
San Antonio provides easy access to other hill country attractions. Wade or tube in the crystal clear Blanco River,
or just sit by the river. You can also walk or bike down a country road or down the regional hike and
bike trail. In the morning see deer grazing and hear birds singing. At night the stars twinkle over the sparkling river.
Shop in the unique stores on the square for antiques, home furnishings or clothing. Eat in one of many restaurants that offer various
cusine or enjoy a play at the Wimberley playhouse. Bandit's Hideaway is family friendly, and is a good place
to get away and relax.
